Culinary Services

Culinary Services

Culinary Service for Weston Public Schools is provided by Chartwells Dining Services.

About WPS Lunch Program

Students can either bring lunch from home, or buy a lunch. Lunch includes the entrée, one milk and hand fruit.  Additional drinks and snacks can also be purchased a la carte.

WPS Culinary Services Details

Students use charge accounts or cash to pay for lunch. There are many advantages to using the charge account. All children are able to move quickly through the lunch lines, and it makes our lunch program operate more efficiently and effectively. At the High School, Middle School, and Intermediate School the students key in their Student ID number to access their account (please be sure they memorize this number). Elementary students are given ID cards, which are stored in the cafeteria. You may fund these charge accounts by either sending a check to school with your child (made payable to “Weston School Lunch program”) or by using MySchoolBucks, as described below.

WPS Culinary Services Account Policies

If a student has a negative balance in their lunch account, they will still be offered a complete lunch (please see the Negative Balance Policy for more details). They will NOT be able to purchase any extra a la carte drinks or snacks.

At the end of the current school year, your child’s ending account balance becomes their opening balance for the following school year.

If your child is leaving the Weston Public Schools and their account balance is $20 or more, you will be entitled to a refund. Please contact the Food Services office at foodservice@westonps.org to discuss your options.

MySchoolBucks Service

The Weston Public Schools have enrolled in an internet-based service called MySchoolBucks. This service is a website where you can pay for your child(ren)s school food services using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Checking account. Participation in this service is recommended, but voluntary and you may enroll at any time.  Please note that there is a $3.25 convenience fee charged per transaction, per student.

MySchoolBucks enables parents to keep track of their child's account balance. In addition, the website offers Automatic Replenish when the student's account balance goes below a specified amount. Using "automatic replenish on low balance", the student will never run out of money. Conversely, your credit card will not be charged until the student's balance goes below the specified dollar amount. Balances are checked each evening and accounts are replenished before morning.

MySchoolBucks also enables you to view your student's participation report, which means you can monitor your child's spending and see exactly what they're eating each day.

Please visit www.myschoolbucks.com to set up your child’s account.
