The Weston High School student-run theatre organization is the school’s largest and most inclusive club, welcoming all students with a wide variety of opportunities. This inclusive approach fosters a warm and friendly environment where everyone is challenged to grow and take risks; not just acting or singing, or dancing, but building sets and props, designing lighting plots and running lights, designing sound, designing and building costumes, creating posters and program covers, directing shows, developing special effects or working backstage – all these jobs are essential to create a theatrical performance.
COMPANY usually presents a minimum of four productions per year:
A Dramatic Play in the fall
A Musical in the winter or early spring
DIALOGUE, an evening of student-directed (and often student-written) one-act plays
CABARET, an evening of song and dance and comedy – student directed.
COMPANY also hosts several social gatherings each year, which helps to promote our ensemble approach to theatre.
