Message from the Director of Human Resources
Weston Public Schools employs approximately 400 staff in a variety of roles to support our students in four schools, 117 acres of athletic fields and grounds, diverse educational programs and services, and co-curricular activities. The employee groups include teachers, administrators, administrative assistant/support, computer technicians, para-professionals, maintenance employees, groundskeepers, custodians, security specialists, nurses and a variety of contract service personnel. As Director of Human Resources, I oversee all employment and labor issues regarding the District’s employees, and as Internal Counsel, I address many of the District’s legal needs. The Human Resources Department also oversees student residency and freedom of information issues, and I serve as the District’s Title IX and EEO coordinator.
The Weston Public School system takes pride in its highly qualified teaching staff and provides teachers new to the school system a formal induction program, individualized staff development, teacher mentors, and curriculum specialist support. Ongoing professional development is a major focus of the district; providing teachers with opportunities to be lifelong learners.
We actively recruit teachers, administrators, and other employees who are highly qualified, have a passion for educational excellence, and who enjoy working in a high performing public education setting. In order to identify the best candidates, we utilize our extensive network of contacts throughout the region and attend several high profile candidate recruiting fairs. Copies of all of our union agreements (including pay scales and insurance benefits) can be accessed on our website, and staff can access information and forms on the site regarding insurance benefits and payroll. All open positions are posted on our site, and candidates can apply online and provide all necessary documentation.
