my SPEECH/LANGUAGE homepage
Hi! My name is Ellen Horowitz and I am a Speech/Language Pathologist here at Weston Intermediate School.
INFORMATION ABOUT ME
I have been a Speech/Language Pathologist since 1980. I received my BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and MA degree from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!!) I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Connecticut Speech Language Hearing Association (CSHA). I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in the area of Speech/Language Pathology from ASHA and a Teaching Certificate from the State of Connecticut. I am currently serving on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Speech/Language/Hearing Association as Vice President for Programming. This committee brings continuing education to Speech/language Pathologists and Audiologists all over the East Coast.
I live in the Town of Weston with my husband Jed and my 16 year old son. My daughter is now a sophomore in college! I especially like taking long hikes in the woods here in Weston with my dog, Boone. When I am not hiking, I like to travel, read and bake cookies. When I can, I "babysit" for Guiding Eyes dogs when their trainers go on vacation.
